what it looks like to work together!

about me

When I would start reading a book as a kid, I’d get so sucked into the story I wouldn’t hear anything else around me.

When I was in high school, I threw myself into the school newspaper as a writer and then editor, obsessed with sharing the stories around me.

I went on to college to pursue my degree in journalism, and have always loved writing and creating. I continued to love stepping into others’ stories via my degrees in social work and then photography.

These stories gave me an unquenchable desire to document life— first my own, through writing; and then others’ lives, with a camera. I hold a deep belief that there are stories of grace happening in the world every day, and those stories should be shared, remembered, and retold for the good of others. I am deeply inspired by the love between people and the ways we are all connected. My heart in my work is to capture the story who you are in real ways so that when you look at your pictures you feel something.

I am equally intentional about and committed to my work as a mom to my four kids. I am passionate about childhood, adoption, and social justice. I deeply pour myself into my work, into loving others, and into the privilege of raising kids who are growing up faster than I imagined possible. I don’t always juggle each area perfectly, but I am doing my best, and I have learned that that is good enough.

I consider it an honor to step into your world and tell the story of you doing your best too. I can’t wait to hear from you and get to know you better!
